Repulse Bay is one of the most famous beaches and it is situated in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, it is the most amazing bay in the region. It is very near to the city and has numerous good facilities for the public. The beaches look beautiful in the morning when sun reflects on the water. There are also lifeguards present regular who are very attentive and keeps their eye on everyone.
Visitors will also find various quality restaurants and also refreshment areas close by. The chief season to visit here is from March to November and also you will find statues of Taoist Gods and very costly apartments close the beach.
This Repulse Bay is open for public for swimming and also available good facilities for the visitors. There has never been any issue with any dangers like shark attacks or other things.
This place is very famous because this beach has clean water and this water is out of the reach of the pollution which comes from China.
There are numerous facilities available for visitors such as changing rooms, bathrooms, showers, light refreshment area, an area famous for beach volleyball and there is also an arrangement for raft and so on.
There are two main Taoist Gods on the eastern side of the beach named as Kwun Yum and Tin Hau. These gods are worshipped by the Chinese sailors and the fishermen.
Visitors can visit by buses from the Star Ferry Pier and Central Exchange Square. Bus No. 6, 6A and 6X which leaves from the Central Exchange stop and Star Ferry will link Central with Tsim Sha Tsui and after reach Causeway Bay, you have to take the bus no. 40.
There are no exact times so visitors can visit this place anytime but the lifeguards do have a tight schedule. But the services are closed in December, January and February. There are no entry fees it is free for everyone throughout the year.
